Alfred Janes (1911-1999)

We will be hanging a group of paintings and drawings by Alfred Janes as part of the Dylan Thomas in Fitzrovia Festival.
Janes was one of Dylan Thomas’s closest friends, sharing London digs with him and another Swansea-born contemporary – Mervyn Levy – while studying at the Royal Academy.

Hilly Janes, the artist’s daughter, and author of
The Three Lives of Dylan Thomas (Robson Press)
will give a talk on her father’s work and Dylan Thomas on
Wednesday 22nd October at 7pm
