    'Court Martial upon General Whitelocke / Chelsea College, Jan.28th 1808'. Ink and watercolour. Indistinctly ?signed verso. The General Court Martial of Whitelocke (1757-1833) who had failed to seize Buenos Aires from the Spanish Empire, surrendered and also lost Montevideo in 1807.
