George ARNALD A.R.A. (1763-1841)
George Arnald was a pupil of William Pether (c.1738-1821) and a close friend of John Varley O.W.S (1778-1842), with whom he toured Wales in 1798 and 1799. These three drawings of Les Invalides, St Cloud and Vincennes, were made on Arnald’s 1818 tour of France. His drawings from the same tour, made on the River Meuse, were publishing in 1828.
