Joseph Said, Chairman, Heritage Malta:
“Gozo in the late 1960s offered much charm and tranquility, and its rural character certainly encouraged the artist to produce impressionistic scenes that also revealed his quick hand and excellent draughtsmanship. His strokes somehow managed to capture the mood, tempo and atmosphere of the time. They are landscapes that reveal the serenity of the artist on an island that he fell in love with and where he felt so much at home. Heritage Malta has acquired a number of these works that shall be exhibited in its museums.”
