Lili Rethi (1894 -1971)
– LZ127 Graf Zeppelin –
Having trained at Vienna’s Kunstschule für Frauen und Mädchen, Lili Rethi became known for her drawings recording German engineering projects between the Wars. She was sent to Denmark in 1939 from where she escaped to the U.S.A. and continued to record major Post War building projects. Lili Rethi’s Papers are held by the Smithsonian.
